Benefit formWe can offer advice in all areas of welfare benefits from; form filling, benefits checks, better-off calculations, reviews and appeals of benefit decisions, tax credit overpayments. We can also provide advice under the Legal Aid system if you are eligible.

When you arrive at the bureau you will be assessed to establish which level of advice will suit you best. We will either; answer your question or provide information for you to deal with the problem yourself, or offer you an appointment with an adviser.

At the first interview we will begin by assessing the whole situation, for this we will need you to bring all relevant documentation –

  • Your National Insurance Number
  • Details of the current benefits you receive together with supporting paperwork
  • Any relevant decision letters or appeal letters from Job Centre Plus, Department of Work and Pensions or the Pension Service
  • Details of any change of circumstances with relevant dates (for example: your income has gone up/down,your child is now 16 years old, someone has moved in or out of your household, you started living with a partner, you are now separated etc)
  • Details of any mortgage (e.g. total amount outstanding, type of mortgage, monthly interest payments etc)
  • Details of any disabilities in your Family and related benefits

If you would like us to check that you are receiving all the benefits you are entitled, we will need full details of your household income and savings.
